BETRAYAL

In the depths of love and trust, a dagger pierced my soul,
Betrayal, like a venomous serpent, took its toll.

Oh, how the world turned cold and gray,
As whispers of deceit echoed in every way.

Once a bond so strong, now shattered and torn,
The pain of betrayal, like a rose with thorns.
A heart once whole, now scattered in pieces,
As trust, so fragile, dissolves and ceases.

Oh, the agony of a love betrayed,
A haunting emptiness that never fades.

Like a wounded bird, my spirit cries,
For the loss of innocence, the burning lies.
In dreams, I see your face, a phantom of remorse,
But in reality, my heart bleeds its own course.
The echoes of betrayal, a bitter symphony,
Playing on and on, consuming me.

But amidst the darkness, a flicker of light,
A reminder that strength can still ignite.
For in pain, we find resilience anew,
A phoenix rising from ashes, strong and true.

So let the scars of betrayal be a testament,
That we are warriors, not meant to lament.
For despite the sorrow, we still possess,
The power to heal, to emerge from distress.

And as we journey through life’s winding road,
May we learn to forgive, to let love erode,
The bitter taste of betrayal’s cruel sting,
And embrace the beauty that healing will bring.

Divided we may be, by betrayal’s cruel hand,
But united we stand, as souls who understand,
That through the depths of pain and strife,

There lies within us the strength to thrive.
