In the dark of night, I walk alone,
Through the shadows, I’m not unknown.
A sense of fear, it overcomes,
As I feel eyes, like daggers, on me they come.
I hear the sound of footsteps near,
My heart beating fast, my mind filled with fear.
A voice I know, but cannot trace,
My mind spiraling, trying to keep pace.
Stalking, lurking, following me,
My soul begins to tremble and see.
The danger that’s ahead, so raw, so real,
I try to run, but my legs feel like steel.
Every breath, a struggle to survive,
The danger lurking, ready to deprive
The safety of my life, my soul,
Stalking is the ultimate toll.
But I refuse to let fear dictate,
I stand up strong, my steps I take.
No fear can hold me down,
For I refuse to be the prey to stalkers around.
So if you’re out there, stalking me,
Know that I will always break free.
My strength and courage, they will shine,
And your stalking ways, they will never define.
